Sadly, that's more or less exactly what I thought of Heroes. I got the whole season via bittorrent, and just watched the season finale last night. The first several episodes were real... more->

2007-06-25 A Lovely Antidote to Saturday

On Saturday I gave in to my newfound chess addiction. This was fueled by the fact that I had just recently installed Chessmaster 10th Edition on my computer, and was hell bent on beating Lisa, a 1006 ranked computer opponent that I just can not beat.

After playing chess for something like seven hours, I went to a brithday party that I didn't especially enjoy. I walked home, and got mugged. All in all, not a very goo... more->

2007-06-25 Seal number Seven

It's been a long time since we've has a Netflix / Soup party, but it was finally Time again. Jennings, Dan, Winston, Bitters and Eyal came over to watch Ingrid Bergman's The Seventh Seal. As it happens, the hobos were there too. Much fun was had by all.

I'm not entirely sure how I felt about the film, save that it was much funnier than I imagined that it would be.

2007-06-25 Hoboz

On Friday, Kate came across three kids panhandling in the Loop, and invited them to the 'nidge to crash. Nate, Paul and Kesia(sp?) turned out to be awesome (self-described) hobos. They were freight-hopping, and left on Saturday morning to jump a train to Florida.

They really reminded me of my cousin's friends, from back when we were roommates in NYC--extremely good natured, and a lot of fun. I've been reading about train hopping for a while, now, and it was great to meet folks who are actually do... more->

As I was apologizing for almost bumping into him, another guy jumped me from behind and they started hitting me. I found this to be quite surprising, and not at all pleasant.

I said, "Hey, hey, hey, what's the problem here?" and, it turned out, the problem was that I hadn't given them any money. Easily remedied.

"SIXbyNINE . COM

Investing form with lucid stillness, turning shadow into transient beauty."

Speaking of, the last job I did required me to invoice them. It was pretty casual, though (I was hired by another lighting designer) so I didn't feel the need to be overly formal. Here's my invoice, I quite like it.

2007-06-07 Asians are great.

So, I know you've been wondering what a skinny bishōnen version of me would look like, if I were Korean and in cartoon form.
